What document type work best with machine reading?
Word documents are more machine-readable than PDFs for CV formatting and ATS parsing, particularly for portal uploads into client TA systems. PDFs, complex multi-column layouts, and images saved as PDF all reduce how reliably an ATS can extract structured data from a CV, while clean Word output preserves structure through parsing.
